Summer Picnic at Belleview Park

Back by popular demand, we’re excited to return to Belleview Park for our annual summer picnic. Belleview Park is perfect for RPCVs and our families and friends, with two playgrounds, a miniature train, and even a petting zoo for kids to enjoy!

Look for the Peace Corps signs at Pavilion 1 in the southeast corner of the park near the children's playground.

Please bring a potluck dish to share, and consider bringing reusable plates, cups, and utensils to help minimize waste.

Arvis Layton, former RPCVCO board member and active volunteer, will be providing chicken and vegetarian burritos with gluten-free options from local restaurant Tarascos. This generous donation is sponsored on behalf of his company TRUA of Denver. TRUA supports seniors and their families in finding the best senior living accommodations, offering guidance at no cost and connecting individuals with trusted partners to help plan for the future.

RPCVCO will be providing some drinks and sides to accompany our burrito feast and potluck picnic.

During the picnic, we’ll host a short, mini open board meeting to share updates, highlight ways to get involved, and give members the opportunity to vote on which Peace Corps projects will receive the next round of grants from the Don Curtis Family Fund. We’ll be holding a dove drawing contest for both children and adults, with the winning design featured on a future RPCV Colorado t-shirt. We’ll also have additional family-friendly activities for the next generation of RPCVs to enjoy.

Please RSVP for everyone who is joining so we can plan appropriately for food and drinks. We hope you’ll join us for a fun afternoon of reconnecting, meeting new faces, and celebrating the friendships that bring our Peace Corps community together.
