Jack's Solar Garden Volunteering

19 Sep 2020
8:00am - 11:00am MDT

Jack's Solar Garden is looking for volunteers to help us maintain a one-acre pollinator habitat planted around our 1.2 MW community solar garden. Jack's Solar Garden is a family-owned business (managed by an RPCV) that will become the largest agrivoltaics project in the country - showcasing how to grow crops underneath and around solar panels.

Our pollinator habitat was established by Audubon Rockies who planted over 3,000 perennials in this area. This area is meant to support habitat and forage for local birds and bees. Now that the plants have been in the ground for a few months, there are lots of weeds to pull and plants to check on!

Volunteering occurs most Saturday mornings from 8am - 11am. It's a great way to provide a useful service while being social at a distance outdoors.

Volunteers are request to RSVP to byron@jackssolargarden.com. Please bring gloves, sun wear, gloves, and cheerful demeanor!
