Growing Colorado Kids

Growing Colorado Kids (GCK) is a place of safety for refugee youth where their strength, knowledge, and confidence grows through hands-on learning, community service, and educational programming. By collaborating with volunteers of all ages and backgrounds, youth achieve challenging farm projects that build confidence and community. (Mission statement from website)

GCK has been featured on Colorado Public Radio, National Public Radio, Food & Wine, Colorado Gardener Magazine, and some of the youth leaders even presented at the September 2016 RPCV meetings.

During the summer, GCK hosts youth at the farm on 3 Saturdays per month, and encourage volunteers to visit the farm. During the off-season, GCK continues to work with refugee youth, and volunteering during this time may occur during field trips with the youth.

For more information about volunteering with Growing Colorado Kids, visit their website: or contact Denise, Executive Director, at 303.301.4650
