Once again, the RPCVs of Colorado are an official community partner of the Starz Denver Film Festival!
This year, we have chosen to partner on screening Belisario Franco's haunting documentary "Eternal Amazon".
At a time when the world is focused on the impact of humans on the environment, Eternal Amazon is a lyrical, poetic documentary that presents a critical analysis of how the world's largest tropical rainforest is understood and utilized. Exploring the Amazon's five million square kilometers - which are home to countless plant and animal species, and 20% of the world's freshwater reserves - the film asks whether it is possible for humans to make sustainable use of the rainforest. Executives, politicians and environmentalists working together with indigenous tribes and riverbank communities are currently constructing a model for using nature that can extract its resources while generating work and income, with minimal environmental impact.
Tickets for this event are $20, which includes a movie ticket and a post-screening reception that includes hors d'oeuvres, wine and beer. You may pick up tickets in the lobby of the film center beginning an hour before the screening. Please find the RPCVCO table.

Please join us on Wednesday, September 18 as we celebrate the start of our 2-year focus on Food Security!
That’s right- you voted, and the majority of our membership voted for the RPCVs of Colorado to spend the next two years learning more about Food Security, both locally and internationally. We will spend the first part of the meeting getting a basic overview of what “Food Security” means globally, and then will break out into small groups, led by local Food Security leaders, and work to develop how we will focus our energies over the next two year. Join the conversation!
